We may also use your data for other specific purposes if we clearly tell you at the time, or if you give us permission.

5. Sharing of Information

We may share your information with third parties in the following cases:

  • To help us operate Skedy - We work with partners who support us with hosting, data storage, payments, analytics, messaging, customer service, and marketing.
  • To fulfill your request - If you request a quote, submit a form, or purchase a service, we may share your details with a Provider, lender, or relevant third party to complete the process.
  • When you schedule with a Provider - We may share your contact or basic health details (if applicable) so they can prepare for your appointment.
  • To comply with the law or protect rights - We may access or share your data if required by law, court order, or if it's needed to protect Skedy, users, or the public—for example, in fraud or emergency situations.
  • If Skedy is sold or merged - Your information may be transferred as part of a business deal, like a merger or acquisition.
  • With Skedy affiliates or co-branded partners - Sometimes we may team up with partners to offer joint services. In that case, both our privacy policies apply.
  • With lending or insurance partners - If you request such services, we may share your data to help match you with the right provider.
  • With your permission - We may share your data for other reasons if we've informed you and you agree.

6. User Content and Public Areas

On Skedy, you might choose to share content publicly—like reviews, ratings, survey answers, or posts in forums or community spaces. If you do:

  • Anything you post (like text, images, or videos) may be visible to others.
  • This content is public, not private—so avoid sharing personal, health-related, or sensitive information.
  • Skedy is not responsible for how others use what you choose to share publicly.
  • Even if you delete your account, your shared content might still be visible elsewhere (e.g., if someone copied or saved it).

Before posting, we recommend reviewing the specific area's rules or terms to understand how your content will be used.

7. Accessing and Updating Your Information

We encourage you to keep your personal details accurate and up to date. You can manage your information using the tools on the Skedy platform. Here's how:

  • To update your profile info, log in to your Skedy account and go to your account settings.
  • To close your account, you can do this directly through your settings page.
  • To change email preferences, you can update your notification settings in your account.
  • To manage app permissions like location or camera access, check the settings on your mobile device.

Note: We may keep some records for legal, financial, or security reasons—even after you delete your account. Also, we cannot remove content or comments you've made that are already public or shared with others.

8. Storing Personal Information

Skedy retains your personal information while your account is active or when it's needed to provide services. We may also keep your data after you close your account if necessary—for example:

  • To meet legal or regulatory requirements
  • To resolve disputes or enforce agreements
  • To prevent fraud or misuse
  • If it's not technically possible to fully delete the information

For Service Providers: Skedy may display your business information so consumers can find and review your services. Because this info relates to public interest and consumer rights, we don't remove provider listings upon request.

If your service is no longer active or you're no longer accepting clients, you can notify us to mark your profile as "inactive" or "closed." This helps keep search results accurate.

9. Email and Other Communications

Skedy and its users may contact you through email, SMS, or in-app messages related to your service requests, appointments, or activity on the platform.

  1. Skedy may send SMS messages for reminders, updates, or support. Use of this feature is subject to our Terms of Use.
  2. You can unsubscribe from newsletters or updates that you specifically requested by managing your preferences in your Skedy account settings.
  3. Messages like appointment confirmations, changes, or reminders are considered necessary for your use of Skedy. These can't be unsubscribed from, but we may let you reduce their frequency through your settings.
  4. We may send updates about new features, special offers, or surveys. You can opt out at any time by:
    • Clicking "unsubscribe" in the email, or
    • Updating your communication settings in your Skedy account.

10. Personal Information Protection

Skedy takes your privacy and security seriously. To protect your personal information, we use a combination of technical, physical, and administrative safeguards such as:

  • Encrypted communication (SSL/TLS)
  • Secure servers and restricted access
  • Regular security monitoring and updates

We also work with trusted third-party providers for secure payment processing. Your payment details are encrypted and never stored on Skedy servers.

Important: Although we take reasonable steps to keep your information safe, no system is 100% secure. You should be cautious when sharing sensitive details and are responsible for keeping your account and personal data secure.

Skedy is not responsible for unauthorized access due to issues beyond our control.

11. International Users

Skedy is headquartered in Georgia and primarily serves users located in Georgia and nearby regions. However, our services may be hosted on servers or cloud platforms located in other countries.

If you access Skedy from outside Georgia, please note that your personal information may be transferred to, processed, and stored in Georgia or other countries where our service providers operate. These countries may have different data protection laws than your home country.

Consent: By using Skedy, you consent to this transfer and processing of your personal information.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will post the updated version on this page and change the "Last Updated" date.

If there are significant changes to how we use your personal information, we will notify you through the Skedy platform or by other means.

We encourage you to review this policy regularly. If you disagree with any updates and no longer wish to use Skedy under the revised policy, you may close your account at any time.

Agreement: Your continued use of Skedy after any updates means you accept the changes.
